Rajasthan SSO ID: register and use it

Almost every Rajasthan government service online starts with an SSO ID, one login for Jan Aadhaar, e-Mitra certificates, the ration card and more. Here is how to create one and what to do with it.

The short answer

Go to sso.rajasthan.gov.in, click Registration, choose Citizen/ Udhyog, then register with your Jan Aadhaar number (an OTP comes to the mobile linked in Jan Aadhaar) or with your Google account. Pick a username (your SSO ID) and password, and you can log in.

How to register, step by step

  1. Open sso.rajasthan.gov.in and click Registration.
  2. Choose Citizen/ Udhyog. (Government employees choose Govt. Employee instead.)
  3. Click Jan Aadhaar and enter your Jan Aadhaar details.
  4. Enter the OTP. If your own mobile is not in Jan Aadhaar, the portal offers to send the OTP to the head of family's mobile.
  5. Follow the remaining screens to set your SSO ID and password, and save them somewhere safe.

Without Jan Aadhaar, choose Google on the same screen and sign in with your Google account. You can enrol in Jan Aadhaar later from the same SSO login.

What you can do with it

  • Apply for or update Jan Aadhaar and download the Jan Aadhaar e-card.
  • Apply for certificates through e-Mitra, such as Mool Niwas, caste and income certificates.
  • Apply for a ration card; the Food Department's "new ration card" button opens the SSO login.
  • Track applications and download digitally signed certificates.

Tips

  • Use your own SSO ID rather than an agent's, so your applications and certificates stay in your account.
  • If you forget the ID or password, use the 'forgot' links on the login page.
  • Never share your password or OTP with anyone, including people who say they are from e-Mitra.

Questions people ask

Is the SSO ID free?

Yes. Registering on sso.rajasthan.gov.in is free.

Can I register without Jan Aadhaar?

Yes. Choose the Google option on the registration page.

The OTP is not reaching me. What now?

The OTP goes to the mobile in Jan Aadhaar. If yours is not there, the portal can send it to the head of family's mobile. Update your mobile in Jan Aadhaar for next time.

Do I need a new SSO ID for every service?

No. One SSO ID works for all the state services connected to it.
