What to keep ready
Usually asked for
The official sources do not publish a single fixed list. The e-Mitra form shows exactly what to attach.
How to apply
- Log in to sso.rajasthan.gov.in, open e-Mitra and search for Application for Income Certificate. Or visit any e-Mitra kiosk.
- Fill in the family income details and upload the documents.
- Pay the fee and keep the transaction or receipt number.
- The Revenue Department verifies the application.
- Download or print the digitally signed certificate from e-Mitra once it is approved.
e-Mitra kiosks charge ₹50 per application under the official rate list (updated 26 February 2026), plus any department fee.
Income certificate or EWS certificate?
They are different. For the EWS reservation you need a separate EWS certificate. e-Mitra has two EWS services, one for state and one for Center, because the state and central rules differ. Use the one the job or college asks for.
Tips
- Check how recent the certificate must be. Scholarship and scheme forms often want one issued for the current year.
- Use the same names as in Jan Aadhaar.
- Keep your salary slips or ITR handy, since the same papers are asked for again with the scheme application.
Questions people ask
Who issues the income certificate?
The Revenue Department. On e-Mitra the service is called Application for Income Certificate.
Is it the same as the EWS certificate?
No. EWS has its own certificate, with separate state and central versions on e-Mitra.
How long is it valid?
That depends on who asks for it. Many schemes and scholarships want a certificate for the current financial year.
Can I apply without an SSO ID?
Yes, at any e-Mitra kiosk.
Apply on emitra.rajasthan.gov.in or at an e-Mitra kiosk. The form lists the documents required. Rules change; this page is general information, not legal advice. Kaagaz is not a government service.
