The e-Mitra application form shows exactly which documents to attach for your case.
How to apply
- Through your own SSO ID: log in to sso.rajasthan.gov.in, open e-Mitra and choose the Revenue Department service Application form for Bonafide Certificate. Or go to any e-Mitra kiosk and ask for the same service.
- Fill in the form and upload the documents.
- Pay the fee and keep the receipt or transaction number.
- The Revenue Department checks the application. District Collectors, Sub-Divisional Officers, Assistant Collectors and Tehsildars are authorised to issue the certificate.
- When it is approved, print or download the digitally signed certificate from e-Mitra (service: Print Digital Signed Certificates - Bonafide Certificate).
e-Mitra kiosks charge ₹50 per application under the official rate list (updated 26 February 2026), plus any department fee.
Good to know
- The certificate is generally issued once.
- A revised or duplicate certificate can be issued if it is lost or damaged, or if your name or address changes.
- Keep the e-Mitra receipt; the transaction number is how you follow up on the application.
Questions people ask
Is Mool Niwas the same as the bonafide certificate?
Yes. e-Mitra lists the Mool Niwas certificate as the Bonafide Certificate.
Do I need 10 years of bills?
If you apply on the basis of 10 years' residence, yes, the order asks for continuous bills covering the period. If your parents are Rajasthan residents, their Mool Niwas certificate is the basis instead.
Can a woman married into Rajasthan apply?
Yes, if she lives with her husband in Rajasthan. She needs the marriage certificate and her husband's Mool Niwas documents.
I lost my certificate. Do I apply again?
You can ask for a duplicate. If it was issued digitally, you can usually print it again from e-Mitra.
Apply on emitra.rajasthan.gov.in or at an e-Mitra kiosk. Rules are set by Rajasthan government orders and can change; the e-Mitra form is the final word. Rules change; this page is general information, not legal advice. Kaagaz is not a government service.
