Request Account & Data Deletion
At Kaagaz, you have full ownership over your documents. If you decide to stop using Kaagaz, you can permanently erase your account, all cloud backups, and all shared folders at any time.
Option 1: Delete Directly From the App (Fastest)
If you still have the Kaagaz app installed on your Android device:
- Open the Kaagaz app and enter your 4-digit PIN.
- Tap the Settings icon in the top header.
- Scroll down to the bottom and tap "Delete my account and documents".
- Confirm your decision. All documents stored on this phone and in your cloud backup are wiped immediately.
Option 2: Email Deletion Request (Without App Installed)
If you have uninstalled the app, lost your device, or cannot access the app, fill in the details below. Your phone's email app opens with the request written out for you — press send and it reaches our support team at support@kaagaz.net.
What Data is Permanently Deleted?
- All Cloud Encrypted Document Files: Every photo and PDF stored in your encrypted cloud storage bucket is destroyed.
- Database Records & Labels: All document labels, folder names, tags, and timestamps associated with your user ID are purged from Firestore.
- Shared Folders: Any shared directories created by you will be dissolved for all members.
- Authentication Records: Your phone login record and session tokens are revoked from Firebase Authentication.
How Long an Email Request Takes
- We reply to your email within 7 days.
- We verify that the mobile number is yours, so that nobody else can delete your documents.
- Within 48 hours of that verification, every document, backup and login record is purged. No archives are kept.
Deleting from inside the app skips all of this — it takes effect immediately and needs no verification, because you are already signed in. Use Option 1 whenever you still have the app.
